Upcoming 340B Webinar Offering
For over 30 years, covered entities have accessed 340B discounts in the form of an upfront discount on the purchase price of drugs through their wholesaler or distributor. On August 23, 2024, Johnson & Johnson (J&J) announced that it is changing how DSH hospitals access 340B discounts by only making discounted Stelara and Xarelto available to DSH hospitals through a rebate mechanism. This new rebate model will begin on October 15, 2024. J&J has decided to use a vendor called Beacon Channel Management (Beacon) to operationalize this new rebate model.
This announcement significantly changes how DSH hospitals currently access 340B discounts. This situation is developing, and we are learning more as new information becomes available.
