In a memorandum dated September 6, 2018, from John Upchurch, the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) communicated the process of the SFY 2018 Upper Payment Limit (UPL) hospital payments. This memorandum directs providers to the DCH website where the gross payments and intergovernmental transfer amounts are listed. The website is https://dch.georgia.gov/. The timetable for these payments is listed below.
Notices of Intent to Transfer and any change in banking information are due Thursday, September 13, 2018.
Intergovernmental transfers and Tier 2 provider fees are due by noon on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 (no exceptions will be granted).
Payments will be issued on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, to critical access hospitals. Payments to all other hospitals will depend on receipt of the intergovernmental transfer.
