On December 31, 2014, the IRS released final regulations explaining the requirements under Section 501(r) of the Affordable Care Act that charitable hospitals must satisfy in order to maintain their 501(c)(3) exemption. In these regulations, there are several changes affecting both Community Health Needs Assessments and Financial Assistance Policies.
