The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has provided claims reimbursement for testing, treating, and vaccinating uninsured COVID-19 patients and vaccinating underinsured COVID-19 patients through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Provider Relief Fund (PRF) program. HRSA has announced that due to lack of funds these programs will stop accepting claims as follows:
- Testing claims – 11:59 PM on March 22, 2022
- Treatment claims – 11:59 PM on March 22, 2022
- Vaccine administration claims – 11:59 PM on April 5, 2022
All claims submitted by the above deadlines will be adjudicated and paid based on their eligibility and the availability of funds. Claims submitted after these dates will not be adjudicated for payment.
