The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) has communicated to providers in a memorandum dated November 1, 2021, that DCH is preparing to make interim payments for the State Fiscal Year 2022 DSH program. Interim payments will not be provided to private hospitals due to the unavailability of state matching funds.
Notice of Intent to Transfer and Letter of Agreement are due by Monday, November 8, 2021.
Intergovernmental transfers are due by 12 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021.
Payments will be issued on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Payment and intergovernmental transfer amounts will be posted on DCH’s website at www.dch.georgia.gov. Select the following links: Provider, Provider Types, Hospital, Indigent Care Trust Fund.
Individual facility data elements will be provided separately by Myers & Stauffer. Hospitals are encouraged to review their data to ensure DCH has accurately recorded their information. If you find an error, please let Myers & Stauffer know as soon as possible by contacting Judy Hatfield at (800) 374-6858 or by e-mail at gadsh@mslc.com.
The interim DSH payment to governmental hospitals will be issued through the Georgia Medicaid Management Information System (GAMMIS). This is the same system that currently processes and pays Georgia Medicaid claims.
