Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support clients across our 340B program and pharmacy advisory/compliance offerings. This role blends technical pharmacy expertise with client-facing advisory work. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of 340B compliance and pharmacy operations, strong analytical acumen, and outstanding written communication skills. The right individual for this role is skilled in translating complex regulations and data into clear, concise guidance for executives and frontline teams.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risk, improve controls, optimize financial and operational performance, and support clients during audits and remediation.
Essential Job Functions340B Program Support
- Provide covered entities with strategic advice empowering optimization of the organization’s compliance and savings objectives by strengthening contract pharmacy networks, third-party administrator (TPA) configurations, and manufacturer data submission approaches (e.g., accumulator logic, eligibility criteria, replenishment settings, inventory models)
- Monitor regulatory and payer changes impacting 340B (e.g., Medicaid managed care, manufacturer restrictions) and brief clients proactively.
- Lead and support 340B program audits, assessments, and monitoring, including sampling, transaction testing, and operational system design.
- Evaluate eligibility, diversion and duplicate discount prevention, and GPO prohibition compliance across all entity types.
- Assess and optimize split-billing and mixed-use settings (carve‑in/out, charge capture, virtual inventory).
- Support clients through HRSA audit readiness, on-site/virtual fieldwork, corrective action plans (CAPs), and ongoing monitoring.
- Draft and refine policies, procedures, and SOPs, training materials, and board/executive updates.
Pharmacy Advisory & Compliance
- Conduct operational risk assessments across inpatient, outpatient, specialty, and contract pharmacy settings.
- Evaluate medication-use processes, inventory controls, charge integrity, and revenue cycle touchpoints.
- Review PBM and payer dynamics impacting reimbursement, discounts, and network performance; advise on financial optimization within compliance boundaries.
- Assist with data analytics and dashboarding (e.g., Excel/Power BI) to enable continuous monitoring and executive reporting.
- Contribute thought leadership on regulatory interpretation and best-practice frameworks.
- Provide client training and facilitate workshops/webinars on 340B and pharmacy compliance topics.
Client Service & Communication
- Produce high-quality written deliverables—reports, memos, CAPs, and executive summaries that are accurate, succinct, and actionable.
- Present findings to clinical leaders, compliance officers, finance teams, and boards; translate technical concepts into plain language.
- Manage workplans, timelines, and stakeholder expectations across multiple engagements.
- Foster a collaborative, consultative client experience consistent with Draffin Tucker’s standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Active pharmacist license in good standing (any state; ability to obtain additional licensure as needed).
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a 340B or pharmacy leadership role at a covered entity, in a compliance or operational role at a TPA or contract pharmacy, or in another pharmacy compliance/advisory role with 340B experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication.
- Strong proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, error checks) and comfort working with large datasets; familiarity with Power BI a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional services or fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred
- PharmD (or BSPharm with significant relevant experience).
- Experience preparing for or supporting HRSA 340B audits and CAPs.
- Familiarity with common TPAs and split-billing platforms.
- Exposure to EHR/dispensing systems and wholesaler portals.
- Advanced experience with pharmacy software systems.
- Consulting/professional services experience (engagement delivery, client management, deliverable development).

Travel & Work Arrangement
- Travel: ~10–30%
